2024 Academy Statement

Washington Marching Band Camps was created to offer high school students with a unique Drum Major and Drumline camp experience that offers high quality instruction catered to the needs of each music program, and at an affordable cost. Unfortunately due to an array of challenges, we have had to make the decision to cancel the Academy for this year.

We would like to offer our sincere thanks to all the educators that have supported the Drum Major and Drumline Academy during its 12 years in existence, and our apologies for any inconvenience this decision may cause.

DRUMLINE ACADEMY

Our unique approach at the Drumline Academy features performance fundamentals, effective rehearsal techniques, and defining and cleaning marching fundamentals and visual techniques.

INSTRUCTORS

& STAFF

We feature instructors from around the country who are experts in their field with extensive experience with both traditional and corps style marching bands.

Drum Major

Our unique approach at the Drum Major Academy features individualized instruction in areas such as effective teaching of marching fundamentals, effective teaching and cleaning of drill, parade management, conducting, and traditional mace twirling.
